Kisspeptin-10 (Human) 10mg — KISS1R/GPR54 Receptor Agonist for Research
Kisspeptin-10 (Kp-10) is a synthetic decapeptide amide corresponding to residues 45–54 of metastin, the protein product of the KISS1 gene. It represents the minimal active core sequence shared by all longer kisspeptin fragments (Kp-54, Kp-14, Kp-13) and is the shortest sequence required for full activation of the kisspeptin receptor KISS1R (GPR54).
The KiSS-1/GPR54 system is a key upstream regulator of the hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal (HPG) axis, with kisspeptin signaling essential for puberty onset and reproductive function. Kisspeptin-10 also exhibits activity in studies of tumor metastasis suppression, angiogenesis inhibition, and vasoconstriction, making it a valuable tool compound across neuroendocrinology and oncology research.
Each vial contains 10mg of Kisspeptin-10, supplied as a sterile lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder to ensure maximum stability and long-term storage integrity.

- Minimal Active Core of Kisspeptin Signaling: Kp-10 is the shortest kisspeptin fragment retaining full KISS1R (GPR54) agonist activity, making it the definitive tool compound for receptor pharmacology and structure–activity studies.
- Reproductive Neuroendocrinology Research: Kisspeptin signaling is the principal upstream regulator of GnRH release; Kp-10 is widely used to study puberty onset, the HPG axis, and reproductive endocrinology.
- Metastasis Suppression Research: The KISS1 gene was originally identified as a metastasis suppressor; kisspeptin receptor activation is investigated in tumor cell invasion and metastasis models.
- Angiogenesis & Vascular Research: Published studies describe Kp-10 as a vasoconstrictor and inhibitor of angiogenesis, supporting its use in vascular biology research.
- Comparable Receptor Affinity: Kp-10, Kp-13, and Kp-14 fragments demonstrate similar binding affinity at GPR54, with Kp-10 serving as the minimal reference ligand.
▎Mechanism of Action (Summary)
Kisspeptin-10 exerts its effects primarily through the kisspeptin receptor:
- Binds and activates KISS1R (GPR54), a G protein-coupled receptor, coupling to Gq/11 protein signaling with phospholipase C activation and intracellular calcium mobilization;
- In the hypothalamus, KISS1R activation on GnRH neurons stimulates gonadotropin-releasing hormone secretion, the gating step of the HPG axis;
- The conserved C-terminal RF-amide motif is essential for receptor binding and activation;
- In non-neuronal systems, KISS1R signaling is studied in tumor cell biology, angiogenesis, and vascular tone regulation.
▎Storage & Handling
Lyophilized Powder Store at −20°C, dry and protected from light. Under these conditions the peptide is stable for up to 24 months. After Reconstitution Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water or appropriate solvent. Reconstituted solutions should be stored at 2–8°C and used promptly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Handling Notes Centrifuge briefly before opening to recover all contents. Handle with standard laboratory protective equipment. Quality Assurance
Every batch of Kisspeptin-10 is verified by HPLC for purity and Mass Spectrometry for molecular weight confirmation. A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is provided with each order, and independent third-party testing reports are available upon request.
