Product Overview
GHK-Cu (glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine-copper, also known as copper tripeptide-1 or the "blue copper peptide") is a naturally occurring copper-binding tripeptide. It was first isolated from human plasma in 1973 and is also found naturally in saliva and urine. The GHK tripeptide has a high affinity for copper(II) ions, forming a stable chelate complex that gives the compound its characteristic blue color.
GHK-Cu is one of the most thoroughly researched peptides in regenerative science. Gene-profiling studies have linked it to the modulation of thousands of human genes tied to tissue repair, antioxidant defense and extracellular-matrix remodeling; fibroblast studies showed it stimulates collagen synthesis at very low concentrations. Plasma GHK-Cu levels decline with age — from roughly 200 ng/mL around age 20 to about 80 ng/mL by age 60 — which is why it remains a flagship ingredient in anti-aging and skin-regeneration research.
Each vial contains 50mg of high-purity GHK-Cu as a lyophilized blue powder, supplied for research use only.

Activity Research Findings Collagen Synthesis Stimulates collagen production in fibroblast cultures at picomolar-to-nanomolar concentrations; upregulates collagen types I, III and V plus elastin (Maquart et al., FEBS Letters 1988). Gene Regulation Modulates thousands of human genes tied to tissue repair, antioxidant defense and inflammation resolution (Pickart & Margolina, Int J Mol Sci 2018). Matrix Remodeling Regulates matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), supporting the remodeling of disorganized scar collagen into organized functional tissue. Antioxidant Defense Regulates copper-dependent antioxidant enzymes and modifies expression of numerous antioxidant genes, helping mitigate oxidative stress in skin models (Cosmetics 2015). Wound Healing Attracts repair cells and supports angiogenesis in wound models, accelerating re-epithelialization and tissue regeneration. Hair Follicle Research Promoted dermal papilla cell proliferation and follicle elongation in cultured human hair follicles in vitro (Pyo et al., 2007). Research Applications
🧫 In-vitro cell culture studies — fibroblast activity, collagen synthesis, gene-expression assays. 🧴 Cosmetic formulation development — serums, creams, eye-care and scalp-care prototypes. 🔬 Tissue-repair and wound-healing model research, including matrix-remodeling studies. ⚗️ Frequently combined in research stacks with BPC-157 and TB-500 (see our GLOW 70 / KLOW 80 blends). Reconstitution & Handling
💧 Add sterile or bacteriostatic water slowly down the side of the vial; swirl gently until fully dissolved — do not shake vigorously. 🧪 Reconstituted solutions are blue; aliquot to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. 🧊 Store lyophilized powder frozen (-20°C) for long-term stability; reconstituted solution refrigerated and used within your laboratory's validated stability window. ⚖️ Maintain aseptic technique; wear appropriate PPE per your laboratory SOP. Quality Assurance
✔ Lot-specific Certificate of Analysis: HPLC purity confirmation + mass-spectrometry identity verification.
✔ Third-party batch testing documentation available upon request.
