BAC Water (Bacteriostatic Water)
BAC Water is a sterile, non‑pyrogenic aqueous solution containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as bacteriostatic preservative, manufactured for laboratory research purposes.

It serves as the standard reconstitution solvent for lyophilized peptide powders. The benzyl alcohol inhibits microbial proliferation after the vial seal is punctured, enabling multiple withdrawals from the same vial under aseptic operation. After opening, the reconstituted peptide solution can remain stable for up to 28 days under refrigerated condition, effectively avoiding bacterial contamination compared with plain sterile water.

Compatible with most freeze‑dried research peptides, it dissolves and dilutes lyophilized compounds for biochemical experiments.
